"Manuscripts don't burn." - Professor Woland

This tantamount statement from Bulgakov's posthumous masterpiece, The Master and Margarita, encapsulates the necessity for artistic expression in the human world. It is this exact sentiment that brings us to awe at the presence of a captivating piece of creativity. I started this blog to talk about the art I love, and to provide my own sense of purpose to what we hold dear. I am mercilessly addicted to the stories we tell, how we tell them, and by whom.

The first time I watched Kubrick's "Lolita" I was brought to tears. I didn't know films could do that. My first reading of Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment" was a flash in my consciousness; I had crossed into adulthood. I didn't know literature could do that. The self-titled debut of "The Velvet Underground & Nico" conjured sickness, eroticism and total beauty. I didn't know music could do that.

Art is important, as is its criticism. Every word spoken in these reviews is steeped in respect and admiration. I would love to have a dialogue with you. Please, send me a message, have a chat. Disagree with me, and I might just like you more!
